Georgia: Living in Oblivion


Georgia is 20 years after the Rose Revolution still in a political and economical transition phase. Cought between the powerful Russia in the north and the USA and EU fighting for influence. Dealing with thousands of refugees from two wars on their territory in Abchasia and latest in 2008 in Southossetia Newly elected President Margwelaschwili promised to continue the road towards the West of his predecessor Saakaschwili. But better living conditions just slowly emerges to the rural areas of the country, just visible in the big cities like the capital Tbilissi or Black sea resort Batumi through the newly built glass fasades.

This long term project is meant as an essay of a traveller, who volatile meets people and sometimes sits down for a deeper talk.
